Himmafushi is a local island in North Malé Atoll, Kaafu, a short crossing from Malé and the airport. Several well-known surf breaks sit on the reefs around it, and the island has a small cluster of guesthouses for surfers and snorkellers. Public ferry and speedboat crossings make it an easy trip from the capital.
