The rules for booking ferry crossings and charter requests through Waves.
Waves is a booking platform for scheduled ferry crossings and on-demand charter requests across the Maldives. By creating an account or completing a booking, you agree to these terms.
Ferry departures are operated by third-party carriers. Waves surfaces schedules, fares, and availability on their behalf. Your contract for the crossing is with the operator named on your ticket.
Charter requests are broadcast to eligible operators. A quote you accept becomes a separate agreement with that operator for the described trip.
You must provide accurate contact and passenger details at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
Prices shown at search time reflect what the operator published when you booked. Taxes, class upgrades, and operator-specific fees are disclosed before you pay.
If you cancel a ferry booking, your refund depends on how long before your boarding time you cancel: 100% of what you paid at 24 hours or more, 50% from 6 to 24 hours, and nothing under 6 hours.
Your boarding time is the scheduled departure from the jetty where you board. On a sailing with several stops, that can be later than the boat's first departure.
If the operator cancels your booking because of weather, a mechanical fault or low demand, you get a full refund of what you paid, however close to departure it is.
Charter cancellations follow the policy of the operator whose quote you accepted. See our Cancellations page for how to request a change or refund.
